The deal includes Salt&Pepper’s 25 retail stores located in Victoria, NSW, Queensland, Western Australia, South Australia, and Canberra, along with its Ecommerce and wholesale operations.

GRB plans to rapidly scale Salt&Pepper, aiming to open 40 new stores within the next 12 months, taking the total to 65. This expansion will leverage GRB’s $100 million distribution centre in Truganina, Victoria.

GRB, owned by Steven Lew, operates 259 stores under various brands including HOUSE, Robins Kitchen, MyHouse, and Baccarat. It employs over 3000 people and generates close to $1 billion in global sales annually.

All 220 Salt&Pepper store employees will be retained, and the existing retail footprint maintained. The transaction is expected to finalise by early next week.

Lew’s previous acquisitions include Robins Kitchen (2014), MyHouse and Bessemer (2020), and Lorraine Lea Linen (2024). GRB previously considered an IPO in 2021, though these plans did not progress.
